Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – In a significant leadership announcement for the Indian healthcare sector, Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, has been appointed as the new President of NATHEALTH – Healthcare Federation of India, the apex industry body driving the transformation of healthcare delivery in the country.

Sharing her vision on LinkedIn, Ameera Shah wrote:

“I am deeply honoured to step into the role of #President of NATHEALTH – Healthcare Federation of India, an apex body shaping the future of Indian healthcare. With India on the brink of transformation, we have the opportunity to strengthen our healthcare ecosystem and emerge as a global leader in medical innovation, diagnostics, and accessible care.

Achieving #ViksitBharat 2047 requires collective action—bridging gaps, enhancing quality, and accelerating digital health adoption. Public-private partnerships will be key to unlocking new possibilities in MedTech, hospitals, diagnostics, and medical value travel.

As I take on this responsibility, my focus will be on fostering collaboration, advocating policy reforms, and driving initiatives that make healthcare more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready.

Grateful for the trust and looking forward to working alongside my colleagues Dr. Sangita Reddy, Himanshu Baid, Varun Khanna, Dr. Rishubh Gupta, and the entire Secretariat and Governing Council team at NATHEALTH. Together, we can drive lasting change and build a healthier, stronger India!”

An alumna of the Owner-President Management Program at Harvard Business School, she brings a strategic global perspective to NATHEALTH’s mission.
