Dakar Region, Senegal, October 2025 — myAgro has appointed Aminata Sougou as its new Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, she will lead strategic innovation initiatives to accelerate the organization’s mission of empowering smallholder farmers across West Africa through scalable, tech-enabled agricultural solutions.
Sougou has been with myAgro for over three years, where she has held critical leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff to the CEO, where she spearheaded strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs designed to boost agricultural productivity and sustainability across the region. Earlier, as Head of Strategy, she developed and executed data-driven strategies that expanded myAgro’s reach, optimized resources, and strengthened partnerships with key stakeholders.
Before joining myAgro, Sougou built a diverse career across financial services and consulting. At Capital One, she played a pivotal role as Inside Sales Command Center – Analytics Team Head, leading analytics-driven transformation projects that fueled sales growth and operational efficiency. Prior to that, she served as Practice Lead at Performances Group, where she advised public and private sector clients on organizational transformation and performance improvement.
Her earlier tenure at Capital One included progressive leadership roles such as Senior Manager, Manager, and Principal Operations Analyst, where she delivered large-scale operational improvements and strategic initiatives. She began her career at Thomson Reuters and Analytics Inc., gaining valuable experience in data analysis and strategic problem-solving.
