Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, January 2026 – DishTV has announced that Amit Sarabhai has joined the organization as National Sales Head – VZY TV, as the company builds and scales its next-generation television brand in India. In a statement shared alongside the move, Sarabhai underlined that building a new television brand in today’s market requires distribution-first thinking, sharp value propositions, and execution at speed, with VZY TV anchored on the ambition to create a strong, accessible, and ecosystem-led TV brand for Indian consumers.
In his new role, Amit Sarabhai will focus on strengthening national distribution, accelerating go-to-market execution, and shaping the commercial engine required to build VZY TV’s presence across India’s competitive TV ecosystem.
Before joining DishTV, Sarabhai worked as an Independent Consultant / Business Advisor for about a year and a half, supporting growth and business strategy engagements while staying closely connected to India’s evolving consumer and retail landscape.
Earlier, he spent around a year and a half at Paytm as Vice President & Business Head – Offline Payments & EMI (Consumer Durables & Mobiles), where he helped launch and scale the EMI business (BNPL) across categories including consumer durables, mobiles, and IT hardware, with responsibilities spanning business growth, channel creation, profitability enhancement, strategic trade partnerships, and large-team leadership.
Prior to that, Sarabhai served for about a year at Panasonic India as National Head – Sales & Distribution | Trade Marketing, leading revenue growth, productivity, premium expansion, exclusive channel scale-up, and digital transformation initiatives across multiple consumer appliances and electronics categories.
A significant part of his career was built at Samsung Electronics, where he spent nearly a decade in leadership roles spanning National Business Head – Product Management (TV Business), National Head – Sales & Distribution, and earlier national/regional leadership positions in channel management and sales—driving market share expansion, premium growth, large-scale retail execution, channel strategy, and business turnaround initiatives across major consumer electronics portfolios. He also held earlier business leadership roles with Next Retail India Pvt Ltd, VIP Industries Limited, Videocon Consumer Durables, Godrej & Boyce, and Onida.
He has completed the Senior Management Programme in Strategic Leadership & Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and holds a Master of Management Studies (Sales & Marketing) from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur.
