Before joining Sharda University Agra, Amit Singh Athwal served as Head & Senior Lead – Training & Placement at Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology, where he led a range of programs focused on technical training, internship models, HR events, and campus drives for students of B.Tech and MCA programs.

Prior to that, he was Director – Corporate Relations at Rayat Bahra Group, overseeing training and placements across three campuses in Chandigarh, Shimla, and Hoshiarpur. His strategic initiatives significantly boosted placement percentages, fostered international internships, and introduced Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in collaboration with AWS, Oracle, Cisco, and other tech leaders.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Demorgia Consulting as Director – Strategic Relationships (Govt. & Skills), where he facilitated partnerships with NSDC and SSCs, organized job melas, and led skill-based employment initiatives across India.

His stint with Ernst & Young as Project Manager saw him drive skill development and campus placement reforms in Jharkhand, successfully leading job fairs and HR summits in collaboration with state governments. He also played an instrumental role in organizing the Global Investor Summit in Jharkhand focused on the education sector.

Over the years, Amit has held several training and placement leadership roles at institutions including Graphic Era University, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, and Dehradun Institute of Technology, consistently bridging the gap between students and industry through placement initiatives and career development programs.
