São Paulo, Brazil, May 2025 – Ana Paula Bonetti Mendes has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Avalara Brasil. In this role, she will be responsible for driving HR strategy, strengthening organizational culture, and leading talent initiatives to support Avalara’s growth and commitment to excellence in the Brazilian market.
Before joining Avalara Brasil, Ana Paula spent over three years at unico IDtech, where she most recently served as HR Business Partner. In this position, she led cross-functional collaboration with business leaders to align HR initiatives with company goals, focusing on performance management, career development, and employee engagement. She also played a pivotal role in designing organizational structures, optimizing workforce planning, and driving organizational change. Earlier at unico IDtech, she worked as Talent Development Manager, where she developed and implemented talent management strategies, launched impactful leadership programs, and enhanced employee retention.
Prior to unico IDtech, Ana Paula built an impressive career at IBM, where she dedicated more than 11 years in various HR leadership positions. As LATAM Executive Succession & Development Leader, she developed succession planning frameworks, created leadership development programs for high-potential executives, and partnered with global HR leadership to increase diversity across the talent pipeline. Earlier at IBM, she also served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner, HR Business Partner – Center of Excellence, and Learning and Development Coordinator, contributing to talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, and training initiatives across LATAM.
Ana Paula began her professional journey with ManpowerGroup as a Learning Service Administrator, where she managed logistics and vendor negotiations for training across Latin America. She also gained early HR experience as a Human Resources Intern at Makro Atacadista, where she handled recruitment processes, training programs, and career development initiatives.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ana Paula holds an MBA in Trends Innovation from Ecossistema Inova, which has strengthened her expertise in HR transformation and strategic leadership.
