Gurugram, Haryana, India, December 2025 — Anandi Shankar has joined Reckitt as Regional HR Director South Asia. In this role, she will lead the people function for the South Asia organisation, partnering closely with the business to drive growth and strengthen Reckitt’s impact across the region through its power brands including Dettol, Harpic, Durex, Vanish and more. Her appointment aligns strongly with Reckitt’s commitment to a culture of performance with purpose and its mission to protect, heal and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world.
Before joining Reckitt, Anandi Shankar built a distinguished career spanning over two decades with Unilever, where she held several high-impact leadership roles across global and South Asia mandates. Most recently, she served as Global Head of Learning for about two years in London, shaping the learning and leadership development agenda for a workforce of approximately 150,000 employees across 150 countries.
Prior to this, she led HR for one of Unilever’s largest portfolios in the region as Head HR Beauty & Personal Care & Nutrition across South Asia, focusing on building teams behind iconic brands. She also played pivotal roles in shaping the Talent and Organisation agenda for Unilever South Asia and led key post-merger integration and change management efforts, including the integration of the Nutrition category following large-scale M&A.
Across earlier assignments, she contributed to people strategy for Customer Development, Supply Chain South Asia, Employer Brand, and foundational HR business partnering roles. Her journey reflects deep expertise in enterprise capability building, organisation transformation, leadership development, and large-scale workforce impact.
Anandi Shankar holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Services from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education.
