Houston, Texas, United States, January 2026 — Angela Chaumont has been appointed as Chief People Officer, Skyward Specialty, US Operations at Skyward Specialty Insurance, strengthening the company’s people leadership as it continues to scale its specialty insurance platform.
In her new role, Angela Chaumont will lead the people strategy for Skyward Specialty’s US operations, overseeing talent, culture, and human resources initiatives aligned with the organisation’s growth ambitions and operational excellence.
Angela has been with Skyward Specialty Insurance for over three years and brings strong institutional knowledge to the role. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources, following her earlier tenure as Human Resources Director, where she played a key role in building HR capabilities to support the company’s expanding underwriting divisions.
Prior to joining Skyward Specialty, Angela held the role of Human Resources Director at QuarterNorth Energy, adding to her experience in supporting complex, growth-oriented organisations.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly eight years with Fieldwood Energy LLC, progressing through roles including HR Manager and Human Resource Director, and also gained experience at Apache Corporation, Plains Exploration & Production, Baker Hughes, and Cameron (a Schlumberger company), building deep expertise across energy and industrial environments.
With a career spanning nearly two decades in human resources leadership, Angela Chaumont brings a strong blend of strategic HR, operational leadership, and workforce development experience to her new role at Skyward Specialty.
