Ranjani Joseph Appointed as Chief Operating Officer of KPMG Sri Lanka and Maldives

Sri Lanka, April 2026 — KPMG has announced the appointment of Ranjani Joseph as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of KPMG Sri Lanka and Maldives, with effect from April 1, 2026. This marks a defining milestone for the firm, as she becomes its first female Chief Operating Officer, reflecting KPMG’s commitment to excellence, inclusion, and progressive leadership.

For more than three decades with the firm, Ranjani Joseph has held leadership responsibilities and remained focused on driving quality, strengthening teams, and championing operational excellence. Her extensive expertise in external audit across the banking sector and multiple industries has contributed to reinforcing the firm’s reputation for quality, integrity, and technical excellence. She is also recognized as a strong advocate of demonstrating values through integrity and discipline in all aspects of her work.

In recognition of her outstanding professional contributions, Ranjani Joseph was awarded Best Women Practitioner by the South Asian Federation of Accountants. As she steps into the role of Chief Operating Officer, her ability to think boldly, execute decisively, and lead with purpose is expected to support transformational growth and operational excellence across KPMG Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Before this appointment, Ranjani Joseph has had a long-standing association with KPMG Sri Lanka, where she has served as Partner since April 2004. Her enduring leadership journey with the organization reflects both continuity and deep institutional contribution, making this appointment a significant recognition of her longstanding impact at the firm.

With her distinguished leadership record, strong technical grounding, and long-standing commitment to the organization, Ranjani Joseph’s appointment stands as both a recognition of her remarkable contributions and a strong affirmation of the values of leadership, inclusion, excellence, and progress.
