Stockholm, Sweden, August 2026 — Gunilla Sjödin has joined Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence as Vice President People for the Portable Metrology Division. In her new role, she brings extensive experience across HR strategy, organizational transformation, employee experience, talent management, learning and development, and business partnering.
Prior to joining Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Sjödin served as Head of HR and Business Support at TRATON AB for three years. In this role, she built further expertise in HR strategy and change management while supporting broader organizational and business priorities.
Earlier, Sjödin spent more than 11 years with Sandvik, progressing through several global HR and organizational leadership assignments. Most recently, she served as Head of Employee Experience and HRBP Common Functions, following more than five years as Director of Learning and Development and HRBP Common Functions. Her responsibilities included supporting business strategy through people capabilities, employee engagement and organizational development.
During her tenure at Sandvik, she also worked as Global Project Manager for Organizational Excellence, Talent Manager, Diversity & Inclusion Manager and HR Advisor, and Human Resource Advisor. These roles provided experience across global transformation, talent and succession management, performance management, competence development, diversity and inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
Earlier in her career, Sjödin worked across HR management and recruitment with Effective People, Dfind Finance and Executive AB, and Manpower Sweden. She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Stockholm University. Her appointment at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence brings this broad people leadership background to the Portable Metrology Division as it continues to advance its organizational and business priorities.
