Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, October 2025 – WE Soda, one of the world’s leading producers of natural soda ash and sodium bicarbonate, has announced the appointment of Angela Macke Hudgins as its new Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Angela will lead WE Soda’s global people strategy, focusing on talent development, leadership effectiveness, and organizational culture across its expanding international footprint.
Angela Macke Hudgins brings over 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience spanning energy, manufacturing, waste management, and retail sectors, with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and driving people-centered business transformations.
Prior to joining WE Soda, Angela served as Vice President Human Resources and CHRO at Keystone Cooperative, where she led organizational change and culture transformation initiatives, aligning human capital strategy with business growth and operational excellence. Her leadership was instrumental in driving workforce engagement and modernizing HR systems across the cooperative’s nationwide operations.
Before Keystone, Angela was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives, Inc. (IEA), a MasTec company, where she oversaw talent acquisition, leadership development, and HR integration efforts during the company’s expansion phase. She also played a key role in shaping people strategies in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
Earlier, she served as Director, Field Human Resources at Republic Services, providing HR support for 35,000 employees across the United States. Her focus on employee engagement, acquisition due diligence, and large-scale HR operations helped strengthen organizational effectiveness across multiple regions.
Angela also brings valuable experience from Koch Industries, where she spent six years as Director of Human Resources with Koch Pipeline Company, driving HR strategy, workforce planning, and leadership development. Her earlier career includes impactful roles at RaceTrac Petroleum and Walmart, where she gained strong foundational experience in people management, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
