Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2025 – Anil Shukla has been appointed as Regional Head – HR at bigbasket, India’s largest online supermarket and a Tata Enterprise. In his new role, Anil will drive HR operations and strategic people practices across regions, contributing to the organization’s rapid growth and continued focus on building a people-first culture.
Prior to joining bigbasket, Anil Shukla served as General Manager – Rewards & Partner Workforce Management at Vodafone Idea Limited, where he led key HR functions including rewards strategy, partner workforce lifecycle, HR operations, and DEI initiatives. He worked closely with senior leadership to align people practices with evolving business goals and drive change management agendas.
Before that, Anil held the position of Assistant General Manager – HRBP at Vodafone Idea, overseeing end-to-end HR lifecycle management and implementing strategic HR interventions to support business in Central India. He played a critical role in shaping inclusive work cultures and enabling performance-driven environments.
Earlier, at Flipkart, Anil served as HR Business Partner for its large appliances and furniture verticals. He managed workforce planning, compensation, employee relations, HR audits, and diversity-focused initiatives. His prior experience at Paytm, where he was a Corporate HRBP, helped him master cross-functional HR processes from talent acquisition to performance management.
Throughout his career, Anil has also held HR leadership roles at DTDC Express, Ashoka Buildcon, and NIIT SmartServe, building a solid foundation in HR strategy, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and talent management.
