South Jordan, Utah, United States, February 2026 — Arron Echols has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at Merrick Bank, where he will lead the bank’s financial strategy, reporting, and operational finance functions. His appointment comes as Merrick Bank continues to expand its footprint as a leader in responsible non-prime lending and financial wellness solutions.
Prior to assuming the CFO role, Arron Echols served as SVP Controller at Merrick Bank, where he played a key role in strengthening financial controls and supporting the bank’s growth initiatives. His transition to Chief Financial Officer reflects a natural progression in leadership within the organization.
Before joining Merrick Bank, Arron Echols spent over eight years as VP Finance at Vive Financial, where he led core finance operations and supported strategic expansion in consumer financial services. Earlier in his career, he held multiple finance leadership roles at American Express Bank, including Director – Accounting, Accounting Manager, and New Product Manager, building deep expertise in accounting, financial management, and product operations within the banking sector.
He began his professional journey at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Assurance Associate, developing a strong foundation in audit and financial reporting, and earlier worked in operations management in the security installation industry.
