New Delhi, India, August 2024 – Ashish Kumar has joined Jindal Power Limited as the new Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With a wealth of experience spanning over 18 years, Ashish brings extensive expertise in HR strategies, organizational development, and talent management across various industries including power, mining, and metallurgy.
In his new role at Jindal Power, Ashish will be instrumental in leading the company’s HR initiatives. He will focus on driving organizational transformation, employee engagement, and strategic HR leadership to support Jindal Power’s growth and expansion plans.
Before joining Jindal Power Limited, Ashish served as the CHRO – Mines (Bauxite & Coal) at Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing HR operations, talent development, and leading the Group HRMS Digital Transformation project, significantly contributing to Vedanta’s operational efficiency and strategic HR initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Ashish held several key positions at Hindustan Zinc Limited, where he led various technology and HR functions, driving innovation, process improvement, and employee engagement across the organization. His roles included Head – Extractive Metallurgy Research & AGM (Tech. Services) and Manager (Technology Development), where he played a pivotal role in process design, R&D, and quality assurance.
