Selangor, Malaysia, December 2024 – Azlan Syah Abdul Aziz has taken on the role of Head of People and Organisational Excellence at Agrobank, Malaysia, where he will lead the bank’s strategic HR initiatives, focusing on fostering talent, driving organisational development, and enhancing employee engagement. In this pivotal role, Azlan aims to strengthen Agrobank’s position as a leading Islamic financial institution.
Before joining Agrobank, Azlan served as VP & Head of Organisational Development at Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank) for two years. There, he spearheaded initiatives in organisational development, talent management, and leadership development, contributing significantly to EXIM Bank’s strategic goals.
Earlier, Azlan held the position of Talent Development & Succession Lead at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad for over two years. His contributions included driving strategic workforce planning, coaching, and leadership development programs to ensure a robust talent pipeline for the organisation.
Prior to that, he was the Senior HRBP & Head of Talent Development at AXA AFFIN Life Insurance, where he led efforts in succession planning, employee engagement, and corporate social responsibility. His leadership in talent development and culture building was instrumental in aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
Azlan also served as Head of Talent Attraction & Development at Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad for over seven years. During this tenure, he managed recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement, building a high-performing and inclusive workplace environment.
He began his career as an HR Consultant at Advaita Nucleus International and later progressed to become Assistant Manager, Organisational Development at Bank Muamalat, where he specialised in performance management and job evaluation.
