Stockholm, Sweden, August 2024 — Bemsiq, a group of innovative and fast-growing companies in the building automation and metering sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Petter Björkebäck as the new Chief People & Culture Officer. Petter joins Bemsiq’s management team, bringing with him a wealth of experience in global business development and people management.
Petter Björkebäck’s previous career highlights include significant roles at IKEA, where he worked extensively on developing both business and people on a global scale. His experience in leveraging a strong global brand to foster local entrepreneurship aligns perfectly with Bemsiq’s ambition to build a global culture while maintaining the strength of its local brands.

Prior to Bemsiq, Petter held several senior roles at IKEA, including Senior People & Culture Leader and Global HR & Competence Manager, where he was responsible for the competence agenda and led numerous strategic business initiatives. His tenure at IKEA spanned nearly 12 years, during which he played a crucial role in developing leadership programs, managing large teams, and driving organizational change.
In addition to his roles at IKEA, Petter served as Chairman of the Board at Skrå Sverige AB and as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Jönköping International Business School, where he provided strategic guidance and supported long-term goals.
Earlier in his career, Petter gained valuable experience working in various capacities at the Swedish Armed Forces and other organizations, contributing to his extensive expertise in communication, leadership, and organizational development.
