Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, December 2025 – Bhaskar Dasgupta has taken charge as Chairman of the Board at RuDo Wealth, a wealth-building fintech platform focused on micro-saving, automated investing and financial literacy. His appointment marks a significant leadership milestone for RuDo Wealth as it accelerates its mission of enabling accessible and responsible wealth creation through technology-driven investment solutions.
In his current role at RuDo Wealth, Bhaskar Dasgupta provides strategic oversight, governance leadership and growth direction to the organisation’s board, guiding its long-term vision around financial inclusion, digital investing and customer-centric innovation. Alongside this, he holds multiple chairmanship and board leadership roles across global financial institutions, including serving as Chairman at Middle East Stablecoin Association (MESA), Chairman of the Board at Point72 DIFC, and Chair of the Board at Caravella Asset Management, strengthening governance and regulatory alignment across emerging digital finance ecosystems.
Over the recent years, Bhaskar has been deeply involved in building and shaping financial market infrastructure in the Middle East and India, holding board and advisory responsibilities with Apex Group, Cohesion Asset Management, Aarna Capital, and Liminal Custody Solutions, among others. He has also played a pivotal role as Principal (Founder) of Sun Family Office Foundation, overseeing diversified investments across public equities, private markets, venture capital and digital assets.
Earlier, Bhaskar served as Head of Market Infrastructure, Digital & FinTech and Head of South Asia at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), where he led market development, fintech ecosystem expansion, virtual asset frameworks and regulatory innovation. His leadership significantly strengthened ADGM’s positioning as a global hub for digital finance, fintech and sustainable finance, driving listings, AUM growth and international partnerships.
Prior to ADGM, he held senior global leadership roles at HSBC and UK Export Finance, including Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer at UK Export Finance, and multiple transformation leadership roles at HSBC, where he led large-scale global banking, sales, finance and digital transformation programmes delivering substantial productivity and performance gains. His earlier career also includes leadership roles at ABN AMRO, SunGard, Citi and PwC, spanning banking, financial infrastructure, capital markets and digital transformation.
Bhaskar holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics & Artificial Intelligence from Alliance Manchester Business School, along with additional doctoral research from King’s College London and Brunel University of London, and an MBA in Finance & IT from IMS, DAVV. He also actively contributes to academia and public policy as a visiting professor, advisory board member and trustee across global universities, regulatory bodies and charitable institutions.
