Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2025 – Bhupinder Singh Gaba has been appointed as CFO – India at Orica, marking a significant transition into the global explosives and mining industry. In his current role, he is leading the finance operations of Orica’s Indian explosives business, managing a topline of approximately AUD 90 million, and collaborating with regional teams to optimize financial performance, drive capital efficiency, and enhance business improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Orica, Bhupinder Singh Gaba worked at Signify for over six years in a series of leadership roles, including RTR Stat Tax Accounting Leader – Growth Markets and Finance Business Partner. He led statutory audit and tax operations across 28 global entities covering the Indian Subcontinent, ASEAN, METAP, and Far East. His key achievements include the integration of RTR and statutory teams, spearheading a 64-member insourcing blueprint, and overseeing statutory audits in partnership with EY.
Before that, he served as Financial Controller – METAP at Signify, overseeing financial integrity and audit processes across markets like UAE, Africa, Turkey, and Pakistan. He also played a key role in performance tracking, inter-company reconciliations, and cross-functional finance operations, gaining exposure to multi-country regulations and strategic finance functions.
Earlier in his career, Bhupinder spent over four years at GE, where he held roles such as Manager and Assistant Manager in finance operations, handling IFRS and USGAAP financials, statutory audits, transfer pricing, and JV consolidations with Indian Railways. He also worked at HCL Technologies as a Senior Financial Analyst, where he managed month-end accruals and expense dashboards for global banking clients.
