Joe Farrell Appointed as Vice President, Talent at Publicis Health

New York, United States, April 2025 – Joe Farrell has joined Publicis Health as Vice President, Talent, where he will lead the strategic development and execution of talent initiatives across the organization’s growing global network of healthcare marketing and communications agencies. In this newly appointed leadership role, Joe is expected to elevate workforce capabilities, enhance organizational design, and drive employee experience initiatives that align with Publicis Health’s vision of transforming healthcare through impactful communications.

Joe most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources at Talkiatry, a high-growth, venture-backed mental health startup. There, he championed HR strategy and workforce planning during a rapid scale-up, introduced career levels and compensation frameworks, and launched a clinical interview training program that reduced turnover by 3%.

Prior to that, he was Executive Director of Human Resources at Dotdash Meredith, where he oversaw HR operations for over 1,000 employees across Digital, Sales, and Editorial verticals. His leadership delivered a 30% boost in retention through a revamped onboarding experience and exceeded DEI hiring targets by 5%.

Joe also held multiple senior HR roles at Hearst Magazines, including Senior Director, HR Business Partner, where he drove 100% employee growth in the digital division and implemented quarterly performance check-ins that improved engagement by 35%.

Earlier in his career, Joe transformed HR at ALM Media as Director, Human Resources, reducing recruiter dependency by 70% through centralization. He began his HR leadership journey with roles at Nielsen, Havas Worldwide, and others, focusing on organizational design, leadership development, and cultural transformation across dynamic, high-performing organizations.
