Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 2025 — UPL Ltd., a global leader in sustainable agriculture solutions, has announced the appointment of Bikash Prasad as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over 25 years of global finance leadership in the agri, food, and FMCG sectors, Bikash Prasad brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to UPL’s senior leadership team.
Prior to joining UPL, Bikash served as President & CFO at Olam Agri, where he was instrumental in driving financial transformation, IPO readiness, governance, and digital finance initiatives across diverse international markets. At Olam Agri, he managed a $25 billion revenue portfolio with over $900 million in EBITDA, leading a team of more than 1,000 finance professionals and 16 direct reports. Notably, he led the successful 35.4% stake sale to SALIC at a $3.5 billion equity valuation and was recognized with multiple awards for operational excellence and leadership.
Earlier, as SVP & Global Head of Corporate Finance at Olam Group, he oversaw group financial and management accounting, FP&A, group assurance, and internal controls for a $35 billion enterprise operating in over 65 countries. He played a pivotal role in the corporate restructuring and carve-out of Olam’s key operating units, positioning them for independent strategic trajectories including listings and private placements.
Bikash has also held finance leadership roles as SVP & CFO for Africa and Middle East, and SVP & CFO (Africa) at Olam, where he managed large-scale operations, led capital allocation strategies, and won accolades including CFO of the Year by CFO South Africa Forum in 2016. His early career includes leadership roles at Nulec Industries, Mazda Colours Ltd, Kimberly-Clark Lever, and Lokmat Newspapers.
A Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (USA), Bikash is recognized for aligning finance with ESG priorities and building world-class teams that deliver value through risk management and governance excellence.
