Sambalpur, India – Sanjay Sharma has recently taken on the role of CEO of Incubation at the I Hub Foundation at the Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur. This new position marks a significant step in his extensive career in human resources and corporate relations, spanning several years across various industries.
In his new role at IIM Sambalpur, Sharma will lead the I Hub Foundation, which serves as both a physical and virtual hub designed to foster innovation across multiple sectors including Textile, Agriculture, Digital Inclusivity, and more. The foundation is focused on nurturing ideas that not only generate economic growth but also contribute to social welfare, leveraging Sharma’s rich experience in strategic HR and corporate partnership development.
Prior to his current appointment, Sharma enriched IIM Sambalpur with his expertise as the Chief Corporate Relations Officer, a role he assumed in January 2024. He was instrumental in setting up key CXO meetings, spearheading seminars, and leading corporate engagement initiatives that significantly boosted the institute’s industry connections and educational impact.
Sharma’s academic tenure is supported by his ongoing PhD research at the Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development, where he explores critical themes such as Entrepreneurship Education and the impact of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) on leadership within the Indian educational sector.
Before joining IIM Sambalpur, Sharma served in various senior HR roles at prominent corporations including VMentor.ai, where he focused on business transformation and strategic mentorship, and Chatak HR Services, which he founded and led for nearly two decades. His diverse experience is expected to drive significant advancements in IIM Sambalpur’s entrepreneurial and incubation initiatives.
