Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Kotak Mahindra Bank has elevated Jyoti Samajpati to Executive Vice President – Head Marketing & Propositions (Consumer Bank). In her expanded leadership role, she will be responsible for consumer marketing, customer propositions, strategic partnerships, go-to-market strategy, customer experience design and lifecycle management across the bank’s consumer banking portfolio.
Jyoti’s elevation marks another important milestone in her journey with Kotak Mahindra Bank, where she has spent nearly two years shaping the consumer banking proposition strategy. Prior to her new role, she served as Head – Propositions for around two years, leading proposition strategy across the consumer bank with a customer-centric approach. During this period, she worked closely with cross-functional teams to build differentiated customer propositions, strengthen customer journeys and drive portfolio growth through consumer insights and innovation.
Before joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Jyoti built an exceptional 17-year career with Unilever, progressing through a series of senior brand leadership roles across India and global markets. Most recently, she served as Senior Global Brand Director – Close Up, leading a €400 million business across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa while delivering accelerated business growth, market share gains and profitability improvements.
Earlier, she spent more than five years as Global Brand Director – Dove, where she led the Skin Cleansing business across Asia, the Middle East and Australia, driving innovation, market expansion and digital marketing excellence. She also held leadership roles as Marketing Manager – Innovation, Lakme, Senior Brand Manager – Hair (Special Projects), Senior Brand Manager – Sunsilk, and Brand Manager – Taj Mahal & Lipton, building deep expertise in global brand strategy, consumer insights, product innovation and marketing transformation.
Prior to Unilever, Jyoti worked as Brand Manager at Marico for around one and a half years, following an earlier role as Planning Manager at Lowe Lintas, where she developed a strong foundation in brand strategy, marketing communications and consumer planning.
Jyoti holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune.
