Mumbai, Maharashtra, India,January 2026 — JBM Group has announced the appointment of Bimal Jindal as Chief Executive Officer – Energy Business, marking a significant leadership move as the Group continues to advance its renewable and clean energy ambitions. In this strategic role, Bimal will lead the company’s energy portfolio, overseeing business strategy, operations, and large-scale project execution across solar, wind, energy storage, and green energy development. He will be responsible for accelerating growth, driving innovation, and positioning JBM Group at the forefront of India’s energy transition.
With over two decades of experience in renewable energy, green infrastructure, and IPP-led businesses, Bimal brings a robust combination of technical expertise, strategic foresight, and execution excellence. His career reflects a consistent focus on supply chain leadership, project development, M&A, and end-to-end delivery of large-scale clean energy assets across global markets.
Before joining JBM Group, Bimal served as Renewable Energy Leader at Gentari, where he played a pivotal role in driving clean energy expansion across India and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer & President at Welspun New Energy Ltd., leading integrated operations across the company’s solar and renewable energy portfolio. Earlier, at Larsen & Toubro, he headed Green Energy Development, focusing on scaling L&T’s presence in renewables and sustainability solutions.
Previously, Bimal spent over five years with SB Energy (SoftBank Group), where he held multiple senior positions including Director and Vice President – Supply Chain Management, managing strategic sourcing and large-scale project execution across solar and wind projects. His earlier career includes impactful roles at SunEdison, GVK, Reliance Industries Limited, and Alstom Power, where he developed a strong foundation in procurement, contracts, and engineering project management.
Bimal holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, a Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management from IMT Ghaziabad, and has completed executive certifications from the Indian School of Business (Strategic Finance) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cultural Competence for Success in the Global Workplace).
