Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2025 — Ascend Telecom Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has announced the appointment of Bina Belani as its new Chief People Officer (CPO). With over two decades of extensive HR leadership experience across telecom, technology, and natural resources, Bina has been at the forefront of driving people strategy, cultural transformation, and organizational excellence in some of India’s leading companies.
Bina joins Ascend Telecom Infrastructure from Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), where she served as Head of Human Resources, Retail Technology for nearly four years. In this role, she was instrumental in shaping HR strategy for one of Jio’s fastest-growing business verticals, enabling workforce transformation and driving initiatives in leadership development, talent strategy, and associate experience.
Before Jio, Bina was associated with the SLK Group as Head of HRBP, where she led HR business partnering across multiple verticals. She focused on aligning people practices with business objectives, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and implementing large-scale employee engagement programs.
Earlier, she held the role of Head of HRBP, Product Engineering Services cluster at Wipro, where she was responsible for strategic HR initiatives supporting global technology services. Her tenure at Wipro highlighted her expertise in workforce planning, performance management, and building future-ready talent capabilities.
Bina’s longest tenure was with the Vedanta Group, where she spent nearly a decade in diverse leadership roles across corporate HR and business HR functions. She contributed significantly to talent management, diversity and inclusion, corporate communication, and HR transformation programs. Her responsibilities included managing large-scale SAP implementations for HR, serving on ethics and PF trust committees, and driving initiatives that shaped the group’s HR excellence.
