Bridget Bowman has been appointed the new Business Strategy and Planning Director at USAA, marking a significant progression in her career within the financial services sector dedicated to serving the military community and their families.
Her promotion reflects USAA’s recognition of her dedication and capacity to significantly contribute to the company’s strategic direction.
Bowman’s journey at USAA spans over four years, a period during which she has progressively assumed roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to her current appointment, she effectively managed key strategic account relationships and led third-party relationship management initiatives, where her efforts were instrumental in identifying and mitigating risks, driving process improvements, and managing procurement and risk policies. Her work in these capacities showcased her exceptional ability to lead cross-functional coordination and leverage third-party contracts, setting the stage for her latest role.
Before joining USAA, Bowman enriched her portfolio with a diverse array of experiences at Whataburger, where she managed a $100 million portfolio of the company’s flagship products as a Category Manager. Her leadership in strategic planning, supply chain management, and cross-functional team collaboration significantly enhanced operational efficiencies. Additionally, her tenure as a Purchasing Manager highlighted her expertise in supplier sourcing, proposal analysis, and implementing cost-saving strategies across a vast network of restaurants and retail stores.
Bowman also brought her skills to Labatt Food Service, contributing as a Marketing Coordinator and Purchasing Agent. In these roles, she managed vendor and item conversions companywide and played a pivotal role in inventory management and replenishment, showcasing her adeptness at enhancing business operations and customer satisfaction.
