Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, November 2025 — The Courier Guy has strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Brigitte Padayachee as Chief People Officer, bringing with her a rich and diverse HR leadership background spanning nearly two decades across South Africa’s most prominent organisations. In her new role, she will lead strategic people initiatives, workforce transformation, capability building, and culture development to support the company’s national growth and innovation agenda.
Brigitte Padayachee most recently contributed to the South African human capital ecosystem through her leadership roles at Engage South Africa as an Advisory Board Member, and as Co-Founder of Edgility Solutions, a management consulting firm dedicated to advancing learning, skills development, and organizational agility through technology-driven solutions. Her advisory and entrepreneurial experience added depth to her expertise in people development, strategic HR transformation, and skills innovation.
Before stepping into her entrepreneurial and advisory leadership roles, she served as Head of HR Consulting at Digiforte, where she spent nearly a year driving organisational development, employee engagement, strategy execution, and HR performance enhancement. Her work at Digiforte strengthened her capability to lead complex people programs and large-scale change initiatives.
Brigitte previously held a series of senior HR leadership positions at Oneplan Insurance, where she served as Human Resources Director. Over more than two years, she led HR strategy, industrial relations, performance monitoring, organisational development, and employee engagement, contributing significantly to Oneplan’s people and culture roadmap. Her earlier role as Group Human Resources & Payroll Manager at Oneplan Health Insurance further reflects her long-standing association with the organisation.
Her professional foundation was shaped across top organisations such as Blue Label Telecoms, where she held roles including Group HC Professional Services Executive, Group Head of Talent, and Head of HR Operations, strengthening her expertise in global human resources management, labour relations, HR metrics, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic planning. Earlier leadership roles at Makro South Africa and bride&co Eurosuit contributed to her capabilities in HR shared services, team motivation, organisational development, and industrial relations. She began her HR journey with early-career roles at Kelly Group, Primary Films, and Urban Brew Studios, gaining experience across operations, HR administration, customer insight, and workforce management.
