Australia, May 2025 — Sascha Hunt (GAICD, MBM, BBus) has been named Chief Marketing Officer at Ubank, a digital bank committed to helping Australians build real momentum with their money. In her new role, Sascha will lead the marketing vision and customer growth strategy, driving forward Ubank’s mission to simplify and personalize financial experiences through smart technology and human insight.

Sascha brings nearly 25 years of experience across some of the most prominent names in finance and technology. Prior to joining Ubank, she served as Chief Growth Officer at Alex.Bank, where she led marketing, brand, communications, and growth strategies that contributed to the company being named 2023 Fintech Startup of the Year. Her leadership helped establish Alex.Bank as one of Australia’s fastest-growing digital banks.

Before that, she was Head of Marketing at Aussie Home Loans, where she steered brand innovation and customer engagement across the mortgage industry. Her earlier tenure at Allianz Australia saw her holding multiple leadership positions including Group General Manager – Marketing, where she successfully integrated digital business functions and consumer marketing to build a unified brand presence.

Sascha’s career also includes senior digital and marketing leadership roles at Tabcorp, Google, BT Financial Group, Citibank, ING DIRECT, and Qantas. Her diverse background across sectors such as banking, insurance, gaming, and aviation gives her a unique lens for driving customer-centric growth in complex and evolving markets.

As Ubank’s CMO, Sascha will focus on delivering smart, seamless digital banking experiences and amplifying brand relevance among Australia’s digital-savvy customers.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
