Prior to this appointment, Stephen spent five impactful years at Syneos Health, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Syneos Operations Technologies, where he partnered closely with clinical operations to design and execute a strategic technology roadmap. His efforts improved operational predictability, streamlined study delivery processes, and eliminated longstanding customer pain points through systems modernization and integration. Earlier roles at Syneos included leading enterprise shared services technologies and global infrastructure modernization.

Before joining Syneos Health, Stephen was Global Head of Infrastructure and Client Services at mp-IT (a Purdue Pharma affiliate), where he unified IT operations across a global pharmaceutical network and drove significant cost efficiencies through strategic consolidation and migration to Azure. He also served as Interim CIO and CTO at Purdue Pharma, overseeing the globalization of the IT function and delivering strategic savings and transformation initiatives.

Stephen’s earlier career includes leadership roles at Pitney Bowes, where he served as Director of Technology Planning, and previous stints in consulting and analyst roles at Charles River Computers, American Color Graphics, and Prudential Reinsurance. His experience spans systems architecture, cyber-security, enterprise IT, cloud migration, and large-scale infrastructure transformations.

At Worldwide Clinical Trials, Stephen will focus on advancing the company’s global digital platforms, optimizing data integration and cybersecurity, and accelerating the digital enablement of clinical trial operations.
