New York City Metropolitan Area, August 2025 – Carina Antal has stepped into her new role as Head of People at Pinecone, a fast-growing leader in vector database technology powering real-world AI applications. In this role, she also serves as an HR Business Partner to the R&D team, helping shape Pinecone’s people strategy as it scales its high-impact, developer-centric platform.
Carina brings a decade-plus of deep HR and people operations experience, with her most recent role as Senior Director of People Operations at Flashpoint, where she played a transformative role in global HR strategy. During her tenure, she was instrumental in launching Flashpoint’s Total Rewards strategy, integrating M&A talent operations, and establishing Flashpoint’s consistent inclusion on Fortune’s Best Workplaces lists.
At Flashpoint, she built the People Ops team from the ground up, centralizing global benefits, implementing a unified HRIS system, and aligning compensation and job architecture across key international markets. Her leadership extended to embedding ESG and DEIB practices across the organization and collaborating with key investors like Audax and Georgian Partners.
Prior to Flashpoint, Carina held roles of increasing responsibility at Facebook, IPsoft, Mondo, and Insight Global, honing her expertise in global talent acquisition, technical recruiting, compensation structuring, and HR systems implementation across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
