Carla Anderson Appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at The BUSY Group

Australia, February 2026 — The BUSY Group, a leading not-for-profit organisation delivering apprenticeship, employment and skills solutions across Australia, has announced the appointment of Carla Anderson as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In her new leadership role, Carla will spearhead the organisation’s marketing, communications and brand strategy as The BUSY Group continues expanding its mission of creating employment outcomes, skilling opportunities, and positive workforce transformation across communities.

With a strong record in strategic brand leadership, customer experience, destination marketing, government engagement, and multi-channel campaign execution, Carla brings deep expertise across both commercial and purpose-driven organisations, making her well-positioned to strengthen The BUSY Group’s national visibility, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.

Before joining The BUSY Group, Carla Anderson served for over three years as a Marketing and Communications Advisor at Leading Roles, where she supported leadership-driven communications, marketing programs, and engagement initiatives. In parallel, she strengthened her advisory capabilities in strategic messaging and remote stakeholder engagement—experience that directly aligns with The BUSY Group’s multi-state delivery model and community partnership ecosystem.

Earlier, Carla served for about a year as Chief Marketing Officer at Montier Health, where she led the development and execution of marketing strategy across the organisation’s portfolio of brands. Her work encompassed brand management, recruitment marketing, customer/patient acquisition and retention, integrated marketing strategy, stakeholder engagement, performance reporting, customer experience enhancement, and strategic leadership—capabilities that will be critical in driving BUSY Group’s mission-based brand impact and talent attraction.

Carla has also contributed to the education sector, serving as Director – Brand, Marketing and Customer Experience at Bond University for about six months, where she brought a strategic lens to strengthening brand proposition and built multi-channel campaigns and personalised customer experiences focused on attraction, acquisition, and conversion outcomes.

Previously, she spent over two and a half years as Executive Director Marketing at Destination Gold Coast (Gold Coast Tourism Corporation), where she created tourism marketing strategies and destination plans across global channels. Her impact included strengthening market positioning, growing membership and partnerships, and supporting significant visitor and economic outcomes. This role also involved extensive collaboration across stakeholders and securing government funding—skills that strongly complement The BUSY Group’s work with government, industry, and community bodies.

In one of her most significant commercial brand leadership chapters, Carla spent over four years at Retail Food Group as Head of Brand & Advertising, supporting a multi-brand national portfolio across 1,100+ stores in Australia and international markets. During this time, she led brand marketing teams, shaped long-term growth strategies, and drove major brand renewal initiatives—demonstrating her ability to deliver turnaround outcomes, relevance with new customer segments, and performance growth across large-scale consumer ecosystems.

She has also held leadership roles in media and governance as Marketing & Communications Director at Juice 107.3 FM, including board-level responsibilities related to corporate governance and philanthropic engagement. Earlier in her career, she built strong regional and global marketing foundations through roles at ManpowerGroup Middle East, Lenard’s, STAEDTLER, ManpowerGroup ANZ, and Maped (UK).
