Luxembourg, October 2024 – Carmen L. has been promoted to Head of Talent Acquisition Unit at the European Investment Bank (EIB). In her new role, Carmen will lead the talent acquisition strategies for the bank, aligning recruitment processes with the institution’s goals of fostering sustainable investments and supporting EU policy objectives. This promotion is a testament to Carmen’s contributions to the EIB over the past seven years in various HR capacities.
Carmen has been with EIB for seven years, most recently serving as a Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, she worked closely with leadership teams in the General Secretariat and Internal Audit, focusing on HR strategies to drive internal talent initiatives.
Before joining EIB, Carmen was with BP for over six years, where she served as HR Manager, Engineering, overseeing people management priorities for the Upstream Engineering division. She also held the position of Senior HR Advisor, supporting leadership in Finance and HR functions, and previously worked as a Talent Advisor, managing talent reviews and graduate programs.
Earlier in her career, Carmen held the role of Senior HR Specialist at Ferrovial, where she managed resourcing and development functions and contributed to internal communication projects. She also has experience as an English teacher and translator, providing language education and translation services for various schools and publications.
