New York, United States, November 2025 — Cathryn Hairston has started a new role as Senior Director of People at Little Spoon, marking a significant step in her ongoing contribution to people leadership and organisational growth. In this role, she will continue shaping Little Spoon’s people strategy, culture, and employee experience after previously serving as the organisation’s Director of People for the past year.
Prior to this elevation at Little Spoon, Cathryn served as Head of People & Business Operations at Julie Products Inc., where she oversaw critical people operations, organisational processes, and business support functions. She also held responsibilities as Fractional Director of People & Business Operations at both Julie Products Inc. and Futurewise, supporting fast-growing consumer brands with scalable HR and operational frameworks that strengthened team performance and culture.
Earlier, Cathryn co-founded Plus Products Inc., a mission-driven personal care company, where she gained deep entrepreneurial and operational experience that sharpened her ability to build teams, systems, and culture from the ground up. Before entrepreneurship, she spent over four years at Banza, taking on progressive roles from Communications Manager to Director of Communications, where she played a key part in shaping the brand voice, storytelling, and public presence of the high-growth food startup.
In the early stages of her career, Cathryn gained foundational experience through roles in communications, editorial work, and brand storytelling at organisations such as Venture for America, JWT, The Heights, and The Huffington Post. These experiences established her strong foundation in communication, culture-building, and people-centric narratives, which now guide her work in people leadership.
