Charlottesville, Virginia, United States, September 25, 2025 — CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, today announced the appointment of Eliot Pikoulis as Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective September 22, 2025. Pikoulis will report directly to Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO of CFA Institute.
Pikoulis has more than two decades of global technology leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving enterprise transformation, digital modernization, and customer-centric innovation. He joins CFA Institute after more than 20 years at Pearson, where he most recently served as Chief Technology Executive. In that role, he oversaw Pearson’s AI and Agentic Content Transformation and its Global Customer-Facing Technologies, leading strategic initiatives in data, e-commerce, identity management, and large-scale technology integrations.
Throughout his career, Pikoulis has led large teams across the US, UK, India, Canada, and Australia, and has built strong partnerships with leading technology providers. His proven track record demonstrates his ability to deliver scalable software solutions while unlocking new revenue streams, reducing operational risk, and enhancing customer engagement.

A graduate of Oxford University’s Trinity College with a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, Pikoulis also holds Project Management Professional and IT Infrastructure Library certifications.
