Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Bharti AXA Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Chhaya Bajpai as Head of Operations, bringing with her more than two decades of distinguished leadership across life insurance operations, business transformation, and customer experience management. In her new role, Chhaya will be responsible for driving operational strategy, process excellence, and sustainable business performance, while leading digital transformation, partner integration, and customer-first initiatives across Bharti AXA’s pan-India network.
Prior to joining Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Chhaya served at Tata AIA Life Insurance for nearly seven years, where she rose from Vice President – Operations to Senior Vice President – Operations. During her tenure, she led multiple enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, streamlined multi-channel operations across bancassurance, agency, brokers, and new-age partnerships, and introduced digital onboarding and automation frameworks that improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Earlier, she held senior leadership positions at Max Life Insurance, where she headed Bancassurance Operations, leading large-scale distribution support and compliance initiatives that contributed significantly to the organisation’s growth. Her career also includes impactful roles at Reliance Communications, TD Waterhouse (Canada), and Manulife Financial Advisers Pte Ltd, giving her extensive international exposure across insurance, BFSI, and customer operations in India and North America.
With her strategic mindset, strong process orientation, and global perspective, Chhaya Bajpai is poised to advance Bharti AXA Life Insurance’s operational capabilities, enhance customer journeys, and strengthen its focus on agility, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.
