Singapore, Singapore, August 2025 – Chitralekha Singh has joined Seagate Technology as Senior Director, Global Talent Development, where she will lead the organization’s global talent initiatives amid the data storage giant’s rapid evolution in cloud, AI, and machine learning. In her new role, she will spearhead talent development strategies to build workforce capability, align skills with strategic business goals, and embed a culture of continuous learning and growth across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Seagate, Chitralekha spent nearly four years at Mercer Asia, where she held leadership roles including Principal, Skills Practice Leader. She was instrumental in advising both private and public sector clients in Singapore on integrating skills-based frameworks, implementing talent strategies, and leading succession planning and assessment projects. Her work encompassed national skills initiatives and innovative talent transformation programs that positioned her as a leader in the region’s future-of-work dialogue.
Previously, she served over five years at Standard Chartered Bank, where she held multiple HR leadership roles. As Director, Global Lead for Talent Management, she led global talent identification, succession planning, and data-driven strategies to elevate organizational capability. She also played a strategic role in SC Ventures, aligning employee engagement and learning to venture-specific business needs. Her tenure included HR business partnering and talent leadership for Private Banking and Wealth Management across Singapore and India.
Earlier in her career, Chitralekha worked for Mercer in India as a Consultant in Talent and M&A, where she led projects in competency assessment, engagement surveys, and HR due diligence. Before that, she was HR Manager – Talent Management at Reliance Industries, where she drove transformation in succession planning and collective bargaining. She began her professional journey as a Technical Lead at Tata Consultancy Services, which laid the foundation for her structured approach to business and problem-solving.
Chitralekha holds an MBA in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s premier business schools. Her diverse experience across consulting, banking, technology, and industry gives her a multidimensional lens on global talent development and organizational strategy.
