Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group promotes Christie Yxama to the role of Assistant Director of People & Culture, effective May 2023. This transition underscores the Group’s innovative shift from traditional Human Resources to a more integrated People & Culture approach, aiming to cultivate a holistic colleague experience and engagement across its global operations.

Yxama, who has been with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for over three years, brings a wealth of experience and insight into this new role. Her tenure at the Group began in Miami, Florida, where she excelled as a Human Resources Manager, skillfully managing employee benefits and relations among other responsibilities. Before joining Mandarin Oriental, Yxama contributed her expertise to Performance Hospitality as a Human Resources Generalist and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where she served as a People Services Coordinator at The Confidante Miami Beach, Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

Yxama shared her enthusiasm for fostering a dynamic, supportive culture that aligns with Mandarin Oriental’s vision and values aiming to enhance the colleague experience and drive the evolution of the Group’s culture.
