San Antonio, Texas, United States, October 2025 – Cindy Garas has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E). In her new role, she will lead the organization’s people strategy, culture, and workforce transformation, supporting its mission to deliver premier live and digital experiences for fans while building a value-driven, employee-centered workplace.
Cindy brings more than two decades of HR leadership across global organizations. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Global Human Resources at Wella Company, where she was instrumental in driving organizational growth, talent development, and HR transformation on an international scale.
Prior to that, she was SVP, Human Resources at Endeavor, leading HR across a dynamic entertainment and sports ecosystem. She also held senior HR leadership roles at Walmart eCommerce, where she supported Jet.com and Walmart Connect, and at Under Armour, where she managed HR for the North America region and global category management teams.
Earlier, Cindy spent six years at the National Basketball Association (NBA) in roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Director of Human Resources, shaping people strategy across multiple business functions. She also gained valuable HR leadership experience at Ralph Lauren, Macmillan, Wiley, and in earlier NBA roles as a Recruiting Manager.
Her extensive career reflects expertise in HR transformation, leadership development, employee engagement, and building future-ready organizations across sports, retail, consumer, and entertainment sectors.
