Waltham, Massachusetts, United States, January 2026 – Colleen Jarboe has joined Zenas BioPharma as Senior Director, HRBP & Head of Talent Acquisition, taking on a pivotal leadership role as the company advances its global immunology-focused biopharmaceutical ambitions. In her new position, Jarboe leads the organization’s HR business partnering and talent acquisition functions, supporting Zenas BioPharma’s mission to build a high-performance, values-driven culture while scaling its clinical and commercial capabilities.
Before joining Zenas BioPharma, Jarboe spent over three years with bluebird bio, where she most recently served as Senior Director, People & Culture. In this role, she led a comprehensive People & Culture function encompassing talent acquisition, learning and development, people partnering, total rewards, and HR operations. She was a trusted strategic partner to multiple C-suite leaders, spearheaded learning and development revitalization initiatives, guided the organization through major restructuring phases, and drove employee engagement, DEIB integration, and culture transformation programs aligned to business strategy.
Earlier at bluebird bio, she held the role of Director, People Partners & Talent Acquisition, where she led both HR business partnering and talent acquisition functions, acted as a strategic advisor to senior leadership across commercial, regulatory, medical affairs, research, and corporate functions, and reimagined HR strategies following restructuring efforts. Her contributions during this phase strengthened organizational alignment, performance management systems, and leadership communications, ensuring continuity and morale during periods of significant change.
Prior to bluebird bio, Jarboe built a long and distinguished career at Dell Technologies, where she spent nearly seventeen years in progressive HR leadership roles. As Senior Human Resources Manager and Senior Manager, HRBP – IT, she partnered with global leadership teams to design and deliver people strategies that enhanced leadership capability, organizational evolution, and cultural transformation. Her broader tenure at Dell included multiple senior HRBP and shared services leadership roles supporting worldwide marketing, education services, technology alliances, and market intelligence teams.
Her early career also includes HR roles at PerkinElmer, Conversent Communications, and Renaissance Worldwide, where she developed a strong foundation in people development, HR operations, and organizational effectiveness.
