United States, March 2025 – Champion Ignition – A Tenneco Business has announced the appointment of Cortney Scott as its new Vice President, Human Resources & Labor Relations. In this role, he will lead HR strategy, labor relations, and workforce management for the company, aligning talent initiatives with organizational objectives.
Prior to this, Cortney served as Executive Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations at Tenneco, where he played a key role in developing global HR policies, labor relations strategy, and contract negotiations. He was instrumental in leading union relations, grievance resolution, and workforce planning while supporting organizational growth. Before that, he was Director of Employee and Labor Relations at Tenneco, where he focused on union negotiations, cross-functional leadership, and compliance strategy.
Earlier in his career, Cortney held HR leadership positions at Faurecia, SYNCREON, and Avancez LLC, specializing in employee relations, labor negotiations, and workforce transformation. He also worked at Beaumont Health and FCA US LLC (now Stellantis), where he gained extensive experience in union grievance handling, labor law compliance, and talent management strategies across various industries.
Cortney holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Oakland University, which has further strengthened his expertise in HR strategy, leadership development, and labor relations.
