Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, July 2024 – Cynthia O’Connor has embarked on a new role as Director HR – HR Business Partner – Technology at NatWest Group. With extensive experience in human resources and a proven track record in HR leadership across various industries, Cynthia is set to lead the HR agenda for NatWest Group’s technology sector, driving innovation and strategic HR initiatives.
Cynthia O’Connor joins NatWest Group after an impactful tenure at Standard Chartered Bank, where she served as VP – Head HR Technology for over 7 years. In this role, she led the HR strategy for technology across multiple geographies, managing a diverse team of 13,000 colleagues.
Prior to Standard Chartered, Cynthia was the Head HR at Montana Bakeries for approximately 2 years and 4 months, where she developed and executed comprehensive HR policies, managed payroll, and spearheaded recruitment and training initiatives.
Cynthia also held the position of Director Human Resources at Sutherland Global Services for around 5 years and 4 months. There, she was responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing a large team, and was awarded the Platinum Leadership for People Management.
Her career began with roles at Infosys BPO, Hewlett-Packard, Inkfish, and Amazon, where she gained valuable experience in HR management, process management, and customer support.
