Dan Bier Appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Cuculus GmbH

Dan Bier has announced his new role as Chief Financial Officer at Cuculus GmbH. Bier brings a wealth of experience from his 15 years in finance and strategy, particularly in the realms of M&A, deal structuring, and capital raising, with a special focus on the energy transition and technology sectors.

Before joining Cuculus, Dan Bier held the position of CFO & Head of Investing at Aspiration Carbon, where he led efforts in investing, commercial negotiations, corporate development, project finance, and capital raising in the carbon removal finance industry from 2022 to December 2023. His tenure at Lazard as a key figure in Power & Energy M&A from 2019 to 2022 saw him completing over $65 billion in transactions, including significant work with Pine Gate Renewables, TPI Composites, and Pacific Gas & Electric, among others. His career also includes impactful roles at Macquarie Group and ECOHZ, where he contributed to expanding decarbonization services and developing growth strategies in the renewable energy sector.

Bier is an MBA and MS in Finance and Energy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan.
