Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, September 2025 – DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight has welcomed Daniela Kerkhoff-Guenther as Vice President, Certified, Talent Management & Talent Acquisition. In this role, Daniela will steer global talent strategy across attraction, development, and certification, building a unified, data-driven people ecosystem that strengthens capability, engagement, and leadership pipelines across the forwarding and freight businesses.
Stepping into the new remit from Bonn and Würzburg, Daniela brings deep continuity with the business. Most recently, she led as Vice President, Talent Attraction, Talent Management & Engagement at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, where she shaped the global blueprint for hiring excellence, employer branding across LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, robust succession and leadership development, and a DEIB framework tied to measurable engagement outcomes. Under her guidance, the organization advanced external certifications including Top Employer and Great Place to Work, while elevating employee and HR quality surveys into actionable levers for culture and performance.
Before that, at DHL Supply Chain, Daniela served as Vice President, HR Global Programs & Performance. She ran the annual HR strategy process, institutionalized employee opinion and pulse checks at scale, evolved the HR Quality Survey, and laid the foundations for HR analytics reporting. She was a visible voice for HR through live webcasts and a core member of the global HR Transformation program, later adding responsibility for Talent Management/Learning & Development and the Certified agenda for Global Functions and the Chief Development Office.
Earlier at DHL within Global Customer Solutions & Innovation, Daniela combined strategy with delivery in two program-office leadership roles: Vice President Program Office Global Customer Solutions and Vice President Program Office Technology. She orchestrated senior leadership business reviews across divisions, optimized sector strategies, and led workstreams in major reorganizations. In a pivotal secondment as HR Project Consultant, she supported Corporate Center talent processes (including N-2 development dialogues and Executive Development Review) and co-designed HR Centers of Excellence concepts for Talent Management/Acquisition and Learning & Development.
Daniela’s foundation in logistics and freight forwarding was forged over a decade at DB Schenker, where she progressed through Manager Strategic Development in Global Key Account Management, to Global Key Account Manager – Electronics, and ultimately Head of Project Office / Corporate Key Account Management. She drove vertical market concepts, lifted tender hit rates as a Six Sigma Green Belt, stood up control towers and global reporting, and coached young talents—experience that was preceded by hands-on roles at Schenker Deutschland AG, Stinnes AG, and early operational grounding with Rhenus Logistics and P&O Rhenania during dual studies and internships.
