Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas, United States, March 2026 — Sabre has announced that Dave Medrano has stepped into the role of Chief People Officer, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strengthening its global people strategy and organizational effectiveness as it continues to innovate in travel technology.
Medrano has been with Sabre for over a year and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources. In this role, he played a key part in advancing the company’s people strategy, supporting leadership teams, and driving organizational initiatives designed to enhance workforce engagement, talent development, and operational performance across the organization.
Prior to joining Sabre, Medrano served as Senior Vice President, People Capability – Gaming at Light & Wonder, where he led the people agenda for the company’s largest business division operating in 19 countries. He worked closely with cross-functional teams spanning product management, game studios, development, supply chain, sales, marketing, and corporate functions, helping build people capabilities that supported the division’s global growth and operational excellence.
Earlier, he founded People X LLC, a human resources consulting firm that advised organizations on HR management, restructuring, and organizational design. Through this venture, he worked with companies including Bigtincan Holdings, Quarterhill, Electronic Transaction Consultants, and Light & Wonder, providing strategic guidance on people management and leadership development.
Medrano also served as Chief Administrative Officer at MediaKind Global, where he was brought in by Ericsson and One Equity Partners to support the carve-out of Ericsson Media Solutions into an independent global company. In this role, he oversaw human resources, sales compensation, payroll, customer training, and facilities management while helping establish the company’s independent operational structure.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions including Vice President, Global Human Resources at Scientific Games, Director of Human Resources at LeEco US, and HR Director, Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics America. He also spent over five years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise as Senior HR Business Partner for Enterprise Security Services, where he supported global HR operations for a rapidly growing business with more than 2,000 employees worldwide.
With extensive experience across technology, media, gaming, and consulting sectors, Dave Medrano brings deep expertise in organizational design, people strategy, and global HR leadership. His elevation to Chief People Officer at Sabre reflects the company’s continued focus on building a strong people-centric culture to support innovation and growth in the evolving travel technology ecosystem.
