London, United Kingdom – October 2024 – Careys has announced the appointment of David Warren as the new Head of People. With a wealth of experience in people management and HR strategy, David will be instrumental in supporting Careys’ people-centric mission, fostering a culture that prioritizes employee development, safety, and well-being.
David joined Careys in 2019 as a Human Resources Advisor and quickly progressed to Human Resources Business Partner, where he managed workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management for nearly four years. In 2023, he took on the role of Interim Head of People, leading key HR projects and supporting team alignment with Careys’ strategic goals. His commitment and impact in this interim role led to his recent appointment as Head of People.

Before joining Careys, David worked at BuyAnyCarUK as an HR Advisor, where he managed HR functions and employee relations. Prior to this, he held several HR positions at Tesco PLC over a five-year period, including roles as Personnel Manager and People Partner. His responsibilities at Tesco included talent management, workforce planning, and compliance management, laying a strong foundation for his HR expertise.
