In his elevated role, Madhav will continue to lead Institutional Liabilities for the western region, driving strategic growth across commercial balance sheets, trade, forex, and cash management portfolios. His leadership focuses on strengthening institutional relationships, optimizing liability growth, and enhancing cross-border banking capabilities aligned with DBS’s regional growth ambitions.
Over the past two years at DBS Bank, Madhav has demonstrated strong execution capabilities as Vice President – West Head Institutional Liabilities, contributing to business expansion and portfolio deepening across key markets. His ability to manage high-value institutional relationships and lead performance-driven teams has been instrumental in reinforcing the bank’s presence in the region.
Prior to joining DBS Bank, Madhav served as Senior Vice President – Cluster Head Mumbai Business Banking at HSBC>, where he led business banking operations across Mumbai. Earlier, he built extensive leadership experience at Citi>, holding multiple progressive roles including Vice President – Business Specialist, managing commercial balance sheets, trade finance, forex transactions, and SME portfolios. His career also includes key leadership roles at IndusInd Bank>, Kotak Mahindra Bank>, and Citibank India, where he developed deep expertise in trade finance, institutional liabilities, and corporate relationship management.
