With a distinguished career in human resources spanning over two decades, Deborah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role. Deborah’s extensive expertise and strategic vision make her an excellent fit for Hays, and her leadership will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives across the organization.
Deborah Dorman joins Hays from Sainsbury’s, where she spent nearly 17 years in various leadership roles. As Director of Group HR for approximately 4 years, she led a team of 400 and was responsible for HR functions impacting 180,000 employees, including people change, engagement, people solutions & analytics, talent & leadership, organization design, recruitment, L&D, and diversity & inclusion.
Prior to this, Deborah was the Director of Corporate HR at Sainsbury’s for about 3 years, leading HR for corporate functions and centers of excellence. She also served as the Head of Talent & Performance and Head of HR, where she was responsible for multiple centers of excellence, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and diversity & inclusion. Earlier in her career at Sainsbury’s, she held roles as Head of Great Place to Work and Head of Internal Communications & Engagement.
Before joining Sainsbury’s, Deborah was the Client Services Director at Serac Communications for nearly 4 years, where she led internal communications, employee engagement, and change consultancy. She also held a similar role at Hypa Creative and started her career as an Account Director at Keene Communications Ltd.
