Dentsu has announced the appointment of Elvira Jakub as its new Chief Executive Officer for Indonesia. With immediate effect, Jakub steps into her role, bringing a wealth of experience to the table, directly under the supervision of Sanjay Bhasin, the CEO of Southeast Asia.
Elvira Jakub, recognized for her in-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing transformation, joins Dentsu from Google. At Google, she played a pivotal role as the head of Industry, guiding the traditional auto and tech/telco sectors through the challenges and opportunities that emerged during and post-pandemic. Her illustrious career spans 23 years, during which she has significantly contributed to companies such as Samsung, Nestlé, Leo Burnett, Starcom, and Activate, honing her skills and establishing a strong foundation in the industry.
Jakub takes over the reins from Prakash Kamdar, who has led Dentsu’s Indonesia operations since February 2022. Kamdar, now focusing on his role as CEO, Clients and Solutions for Southeast Asia, aims to amplify Dentsu’s client engagement and portfolio across the region. Despite the transition, he continues to operate from the Singapore hub, maintaining his role as CEO of Dentsu Singapore.
This leadership change underscores Dentsu’s commitment to driving growth and innovation within the Indonesian market, leveraging Jakub’s extensive experience and visionary approach to navigate the evolving marketing landscape.
