Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Dharmendra Kava has joined JioBlackRock Mutual Fund as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), bringing over two decades of expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and business continuity across global financial institutions. In his new role, Dharmendra will lead the company’s information security strategy, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen data protection, resilience, and regulatory compliance within the fast-evolving investment ecosystem.
Before joining JioBlackRock, Dharmendra served as Regional Information Security Officer (RISO) at Experian, where he spearheaded strategic security programs across India, ensuring operational compliance and cybersecurity resilience for mission-critical data systems. His leadership contributed to reinforcing information protection standards and fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
Earlier, Dharmendra had a distinguished eight-year tenure at YES BANK, rising through key leadership roles including Group Executive Vice President. During this period, he managed enterprise-wide business continuity planning, crisis management, and cybersecurity operations for national centers and branch networks. His efforts were instrumental in aligning technology resilience with the bank’s growth objectives and regulatory mandates.
Previously, he worked with Societe Generale and Deutsche Bank, where he led business continuity and risk management initiatives across multiple geographies, and with Zenta, where he built a strong foundation in process excellence and operational efficiency. Recognized for his analytical depth and cross-functional leadership, Dharmendra brings a strategic, forward-looking approach to securing digital assets and mitigating cyber risks in dynamic business environments.
