Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 2026 — Caterpillar Inc. has appointed Dr Hannah Haikal as Human Resources Director – Growth Regions, supporting one of the company’s newly established commercial organizations across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, India, Southeast Asia and China.
In this strategically critical role, Dr Haikal will shape talent depth, leadership capability, cultural foundations and organizational readiness across some of the world’s most diverse and fast-changing markets. The role represents an important evolution in Caterpillar’s go-to-market model — embedding people leadership closer to customers and Cat dealers to deliver locally relevant, holistic solutions that support long-term growth and performance.
Dr Hannah Haikal brings over two decades of global HR transformation, leadership development and organizational design expertise across multinational enterprises, technology scale-ups and industrial leaders.
Prior to this appointment, she served as Head of Human Resources – Europe, Africa, Middle East and Eurasia (EAME) Distribution at Caterpillar, where she strengthened leadership pipelines, DEI frameworks and people strategy across multiple geographies.
Earlier, she held several senior leadership roles at e& Group (formerly Etisalat Group), including Group Vice President – Culture & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Group Vice President – Talent Strategy & Analytics, where she architected enterprise HR operating models, people analytics ecosystems and ESG-aligned DEI strategies during the group’s transformation from telco to technology and investment organization.
She previously led global talent, learning and culture strategy at Careem, playing a defining role in scaling the company from startup to unicorn and supporting its acquisition by Uber. Her early consulting and transformation leadership includes senior roles at Propel International, Arup, and public-sector OD leadership at Croydon Council.
