Ismaning, Bavaria, Germany, January 2026 — Sana Kliniken has announced the appointment of Dr. Ralph Wiechers as Chief People Officer (CPO) & Labor Director. In this role, Dr. Wiechers is responsible for People Strategy, labor relations and HR operations for more than 40,000 employees across Sana’s nationwide healthcare network, strengthening reliable HR processes, constructive social partnership and modern, data-driven HR platforms to support high-quality patient care and scalable workforce planning.
At Sana Kliniken, Dr. Ralph Wiechers has taken charge as Chief People Officer (CPO) & Labor Director, leading people strategy, labor relations and HR operations in a highly regulated healthcare environment and driving the development of a modern, data-driven HR foundation supported by scalable digital tools for clinical and non-clinical workforce planning.
Prior to this, Dr. Wiechers spent over seven years with DHL as EVP HR – People Experience, Technology, Data & Operations (Global), where he held global responsibility for HR services, HR technology, data and analytics supporting more than 600,000 employees worldwide. He was a member of the Group HR Board, Corporate AI & Data Analytics Council and Global Business Services Board, shaping governance, operating models and people operations performance at enterprise scale.
Earlier at Deutsche Post DHL Group, he held multiple senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President – Dialogue Marketing & Press, Vice President – Consumer Experience & Last Mile Services, Vice President – Internet Strategy & Online Marketing Solutions, and also served as Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Post Dialog Solutions, leading strategy, P&L, digital transformation, service design and operational performance across regulated and competitive markets.
Before joining Deutsche Post DHL Group, Dr. Wiechers was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, advising organizations on growth, people strategy and transformation initiatives. He also co-founded NOHETO! GmbH as Co-CEO and Co-Founder, and began his professional journey at Deutsche Bank.
