Wermelskirchen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany – November 2024 – Effective January 1, Dr. Urszula Nartowska will join the board of OBI Group Holding SE & Co. KGaA and will also take over as Chief People & Organisational Development Officer. This strategic appointment comes as part of a broader restructuring initiative at OBI, reinforcing its commitment to organizational growth and development.
Career Journey: Dr. Nartowska has been with OBI Group Holding since December 2022, serving as Managing Director Legal in Wermelskirchen, where she has played a significant role in overseeing legal operations for the company.
Before joining OBI, she worked as a Partner at Hogan Lovells in Hamburg, specializing in Corporate, M&A, Restructuring, and Capital Markets for four years. Prior to that, Dr. Nartowska spent nearly 12 years as a Partner at Gleiss Lutz in Berlin and Hamburg, where she focused on similar areas, contributing significantly to the firm’s corporate and restructuring efforts.
Her early legal career includes a legal internship at Oberlandesgericht Brandenburg (Higher Regional Court Brandenburg) from November 2004 to November 2006, which included training stages at the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Labour, Hengeler Mueller, and Pöllath+Partners. She also served as a Legal Intern with the Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she provided legal advice on development aid projects focused on good governance and anti-corruption.
